The Mt. Tom Road to the Pogue is a running race that has long been contemplated by running enthusiasts in the Woodstock, Vermont area. The race is organized under the auspices of CBHM, Inc. by a volunteer committee. Net proceeds from the race have been donated to the Woodstock Trails Partnership to maintain the network of hiking and running trails in Woodstock, as well as other volunteer groups.
CBHM, Inc. is the organizing body behind the highly successful Covered Bridges Half Marathon which is held the first Sunday in June. Started in 1992, the CBHM now sells out in under 20 minutes when on-line registration opens in December. This non-profit corporation donates it annual net profits (about $38,000) to worthy, local youth groups connected to athletics. For more information about CBHM, Inc., visit the web site at www.cbhm.com.
The race would not be possible without the support of our hosts, the National Park Service, the Billings Farm & Museum and the Billings Park Commission of Woodstock. For information on these groups, please visit our links page.
